13 members signed on and with below zero temperatures
continuing to dominate life most chose to fish the easy access venues and deep
water marks of the Solent. The 4hr format was enough for most but the winner on
the night Dean Walls was kept busy. The
irony being that Dean had generously sponsored the event.9 weighed in 56lb

member receiving a prize. Thanks to Dean Walls Gardening services,WWAC,Wight
Angling and the members
The years winning monies were also handed out totaling £1135
Please renew and introduce new members for 2023. Membership
forms should be in the tackle shops or contact Nick Cassford or Rod Whitewood.
The cost remains at £10 for the year.
Fixtures for 2023 will be out shortly and input into dates
would be useful.
One rule change for 2023 will be that the minimum size for
conger eels will be 4lb. After much discussion during the year most Island
clubs are switching to weight rather than length
