Sign on at Odessa, Wight Angling and East Cowes Tackle by 4pm Friday.

Due to the loss of some club competitions through the Covid restrictions this comp will carry points towards the championship.

Please observe government Covid guidelines at all times.

Good luck, stay safe.

Please be aware as of yesterday (Weds 25/11) the Council have seen fit to remove the wooden steps into Whale Chine that access Chale. This makes access currently almost impossible.

Will anglers please also be aware that the new land owner is actively policing the well-used access route across the field by Shepherds Chine at Atherfield. He has put up signs and is planning to put livestock on the land in due course. The beach can still be accessed via the footpath down the chine which can be a little boggy, or the footpath via the campsite opposite Chine Farm which skirts the old Atherfield Holiday Camp site but please park sensibly so as not to block access.

 PLEASE NOTE

During the lockdown the Angling Trust has advised that competitive angling cannot take place. As a result, this Friday's final Comp (Nov 6th) will not be taking place. It is planned to incorporate this into the Members Comp on Friday December 4th with eligibility now being a minimum of 8 and entry being £10. If lockdown is extended a new date will eventually be found.

It is also hoped to reschedule those opens planned during the lockdown period and these will be announced once the Government gives us the green light.

It is also worth stressing that angling is allowed during lockdown within the guidance issued by the Government and communicated by the Angling Trust.

Please continue to fish and keep safe
