UPDATE
As a result of the recent update in Government Policy
angling is now no longer banned but Competitive fishing is not permitted as
current advice still prohibits organised gatherings. The shore comp scheduled
for this coming Saturday May 16th will not go ahead. Future fixtures will be
reviewed according to the on-going restrictions placed upon us.
For those of us who in the past have challenged what the Angling Trust does for sea angling can on this occasion thank them for the dialogue and lobbying of the government to get us back fishing. Please bear in mind that it is a decision that can be reversed and that we are all ambassadors for our sport. It may be wise to avoid potentially busy venues that are frequented by large numbers of the general public!
